I've just had my first blood test on my first round of IVF at day 14 from egg collection. It was a level of 32. The nurse said in low for the range it should be in and now I'm worrying like crazy that it's a failed pregnancy. The fact that she wasn't hopeful at all has probably made it worse. I started spotting/light bleeding three days ago which is common, but I'm having so many variables of positive and negative my mind is overthinking all outcomes at the moment. I literally feel like I'm the only person to go through this. Hubby is doing the best he can to support but I just can't help feel negative about the situation. I guess what I'm after is there anyone here that has been through this who can maybe make me take a deep breathe. shouldnt I be happy that is a positive even though it's low. I just hope it increase on Tuesday.

Re: Low HCG levels IVF
Sorry you are feeling like this, unfortunately once you get a positive the fears and anxiety still linger on. I don't have a positive story to share sorry but wishing you all the best!

Re: Low HCG levels IVF
One single hCG value does not tell you much about the viability of the pregnancy and there is a wide range of normal hCG levels in pregnancy. Also not to ignore the fact that HCG levels should double every 48- 72 hours in a healthy pregnancy. Serial measurements are much more useful.
