My husband and I have recently found out he is infertile and we are devastated, but trying to stay strong, and would love to hear from couples that are in the same situation.
We are beginning to look into Donor Sperm and wanted to hear whether people have gone with personal donations or anonymous, and anyone out there that can share their experience with donor sperm in any way?
We would also like to meet couples who are going through the same thing as we are so that we can draw strength from each other. We live in Auckland. I'd love to hear from you.

Hey
You may want to try a site called Known Donor Registry, it has a heap of info posted by couples in your situation and is free to use.
I was a donor for a while and when I first started I got in touch with many people overseas via that site, each with their own stories. You should be able to find plenty of advice or even just some people who can relate to you.

Hi Chardyw,
My partner and I are going through the exact thing- we found out in March this year after an extremely invasive surgery on his part and have been trying to come to terms with the news since. No doubt you are in a similar situation to me whereby you are broken inside but need to be strong for him. I just found out this weekend that my partner's only brother is pregnant with their first baby. I feel so horrible for not being 100% happy for them- given that we had been trying for over a year before we found out. We're in Auckland also.

Hi there
My husband and are in the same situation as he is completely infertile. We have just completed our 4th iui with donor sperm. The 3rd round was successful but unfortunately I miscarried at 7 weeks. We were torn with this news but are determined to keep positive. I havnt talked to anyone else whom is using donor sperm and is in the same situation as us. We decided to use donor sperm for a number of reasons. My brother in law recently had his first child as well and we too found this very difficult. It would be nice to talk to others in a similar situation to us.
