Hello Everyone,

We are a happy, fun-loving family of 3, Mom, Dad & a wonderful 12 year old Boy!
All 3 of us knew our family wasn't quite complete yet given that my son was conceived from a previous relationship & my hubby did not have any children of his own yet.

We dreamed of having the opportunity to make our circle a little bigger but for reasons unknown to us in the 7 Years after my husband & I had met, fallen in love & got married, this part of our happily ever after had just not happened for us. We’ve only had 1 pregnancy and with that a miscarriage.

In September 2016 we had a visit with the GP for what we thought was going to be a simple process & a few tests which would explain why we hadn't successfully managed to conceive & carry to term. Little did we know...the universe was literally about to pull the rug out from underneath us & change our lives forever!

In November 2016 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

Having a child was never far from our minds & unfortunately because my surgery was scheduled for 3 weeks after my diagnosis, right before Christmas & clinic shutdown, we did not have any time to try to save or harvest any eggs to be able to conceive at a later date.

My only option at the time was to take medication to try to protect my ovaries from all the chemicals that were about to be pushed through my body over the next 2 years.

There was no knowing whether this medication would work or if Chemo would cause infertility.

In July 2018, I decided enough was enough, so I chose to stop the hormone therapy treatment given that at the time I was only 2 years away from turning 40, I knew if there was any chance of us being able to have a baby, this journey had to start now!

Hubby & I have undergone multiple tests and due to the damage caused to my body, we are unlikely to be able to conceive naturally. We have been advised our only option is with an egg donor because my ovary reserves are too low to be able to try harvest any viable eggs. We have been approved for public funding but would have to search for our own donor because there are no donors available at this stage with no time frame as to when that might change.

They say is takes a village to raise a baby & we're hoping that our village can help to create the little miracle of life that is our Baby who is so wanted, so dreamed about and so loved already!
