Hey folks, just curious to know, are there any links between high blood pressure medication and infertility, especially among men? My colleague, who is taking amlodipine to control his high BP, has been advised to change his medication by his infertility specialist, whom the couple have been seeing for over a year.

Yes, it is true, particularly in case of calcium channel blockers. It either lower the level of testosterone needed to make sperm or otherwise cut their quantity and quality, that’s what I read.
