Has anyone else had their partner on Pregnyl and the puregon to stimulate the production of sperm? My husband has hypogonadanism meaning he has low testerone and produces no sperm. We only started the puregon injection just at the beginning of the week. We hope that he will start to produce after a month but are unsure

Puregon injection is used to increase sperm production in men who have a low sperm count as a result of low hormone levels. It is also used in combination with human chorionic gonadotropins HCG, which increases the production of testosterone in the testicles and helps the FSH to work.When given in combination with another hormone (hCG), it may take at-least 3 to 4 months to see any improvement. The treatment period usually equals the development time of sperm and the time in which improvement can be expected. If your sperm production has not started after this period, your treatment may carry on for at least 18 months. Be in regular touch with healthcare team and follow their guidelines. To monitor your treatment, your doctor may ask you for a semen analysis to be performed 4 to 6 months after the beginning of treatment. Good luck!!!
