Hi everyone! I am a 32 year old American woman who is lucky enough to call New Zealand home. I grew up in the Midwest in the States (St. Louis, Missouri) and moved to San Francisco after Uni on the East Coast. I met my husband, Travis, in 2012 in San Francisco. Trav is also American (born in the Bay Area, California), but moved to Auckland when he was young with his parents and 2 little sisters for a family adventure. What his family thought would be 2 years in NZ turned into a much longer stay (no surprise!). Trav ended up staying for 10 years before heading back to California for Uni. Fast forward to us meeting in SF, getting married in 2017 and making the exciting decision to move to New Zealand at the beginning of 2019. We have been loving every minute of living in NZ and are so grateful to call Auckland home. I was born with a condition that won't allow me to carry children (MRKH). Lucky for us, we were able to freeze our embryos before moving to NZ and are ready to start the process of finding a generous and brave surrogate who can help make our dream of becoming parents come true! If all goes to plan, we would love to go through the surrogacy process in New Zealand (Auckland)—where we have experienced nothing but kindness and support as we navigate this process. If you are interested in being a surrogate or know of anyone who might be interested, I'd love to chat. I'm so grateful to have learned about this community and wish everyone the best of luck on their journeys!
