Hi all, I am new here, a bit about me, I'm 28 hubby 38 we have a gorgeous son who is almost 8 and really want to have another child have been using no birth control since he was 6. My son was concieved on clomid, however over the years of depression etc I have gained quite a bit of weight I have lost 15kg but still have at least 20kg to go. It seems everyone around me is pregnant friends family etc, they all make it look so easy! I always hear 'it will happen' yet every time I get my hopes up they are dashed. I just feel so alone.

Re: PCOS sucks!! Feeling down

PCOS is a very common condition, affecting 17% of women. In many cases it becomes less severe as you get older, especially if you maintain a healthy weight. All kudos to you for losing 15 kgs, it’s indeed a great accomplishment. I am sure you must have read about PCOS diet. Following a PCOS-friendly diet with foods such as fresh vegetables, fruits, nuts, beans and whole wheat can really help you shedding those remaining extra pounds.

PCOS may make you menstruate infrequently, making it impossible to know exactly when ovulation occurs. Try using OPK, and charting to know exact date of ovulation so that you can try your best during your fertility period. Most important, if you are actively trying over year, it’s a high time you should seek fertility specialist help to sort out the issue.
