Anybody here who is trying for second but no results yet? I conceived with my first son with no trouble at all. We thought we can have another one when he was 3. We have been trying for our second since then, it’s almost a year passed. Shall I see fertility specialist or just follow wait and watch approach? I am very much confused.

Re: Secondary infertility?
Hello Cristina,
Secondary infertility comes as quite shock, though it is more common than you think. There are many reasons for it like changes in risk factors of you and your partner, changes in menstrual cycle after first pregnancy etc. I and my wife have conceived our second with IVF after waiting for 3 years. If I were you I would seek immediate consultation from fertility specialist, this saves much of our time and agony. I know, it’s the least talked topic, but talk openly with friends and family so you do not feel pain and bitterness at their ability to grow their families and they wouldn’t feel awkwardness around the topic of babies and pregnancy.

Re: Secondary infertility?
Thank you Liam for your words. We have booked for a fertility specialist appointment early next week. I am just hoping that thing would sort out in easier way. I believe treatment approach might be similar to that of primary infertility, right? We have no budget to go for IVF privately, so I don’t know where we would end up with this treatment journey. Having said that, I am not sure whether we are quite ready for adoption yet.
I feel really lonely sometimes as I think no one really understands my sadness over the issues, since I already have one.

Re: Secondary infertility?
Hi Cristina, I am in the same boat, sort of, and sometimes feel so guilty for feeling like this as we already have a beautiful little girl who is nearly 2. She took us 5 years to conceive. I have endometriosis that was finally diagnosed and after many different fertility treatments and holistic attempts, our little girl was conceived after an unmonitored Clomed cycle and me attending a Chinese medicine dr.
We have been trying for our second since she was born and people told me it wasn't happening because I was feeding. Which I was reluctant to give up as you can imagine.
2 years later and nothing has happened yet and we are back down the fertility route. I have had two rounds of Letrozole, the last had bad side effects, moods everywhere and my period was late and very long!! So we have a having a month off to chill and try naturally.
Just can't really think about this happening again! Shouldn't I just be focusing on what I already have. A loving husband, daughter and home!

Re: Secondary infertility?
Hi, sorry am joining this forum late but has anyone done IVF with acupuncture, and if so which acupuncturist would you recommend (was IVF a success too?)?
Many thanks! Christine

I suggest Dr Vitalis Acupuncture service. Their massage technique on my newborn baby did miracle on reducing my colic pains. I am very very grateful to them
