Has anyone had any success with the use of testosterone patches prior to stimulation? I'm using them with my next round of icsi and the Colorado protocol. Any success stories?

Re: Testosterone patches

I've not tried them myself but heard VERY good things about them from my specialist and a trial in Australia has shown some very promising results. Good luck :o)

Re: Testosterone patches

Testosterone, an essential precursor of oestrogen in women, is made in the ovaries and adrenal glands & its release from there, largely responsible for driving female libido. There is a little scientific backup that says the pre-treatment with transdermal testosterone may improve the ovarian sensitivity to FSH and follicular response to gonadotropin treatment in previous low-responder IVF patients.

I think, the best way is to stick to your medical advice as long as you trust them. I am sure you had a check with your testosterone levels before stimulation. Too much testosterone destroys egg quality and suppresses ovaries, so you should at least have a check before the stimulation.
