My husband and I have been TTC for 6years now, at first the doctors couldnt give us any answers as to why but after going to fertility associates in Hamilton we found out my husband has a low sperm count and i dont have regular ovulation, we were told we most probably would have been able to conceive naturally if we had only 1 of these issues but seems we have both we have a slim to none chance without help. We are now on the list to start ivf in may next year and until then I am going to try clomiphene to see if that has any affect, I will be starting my 1st cycle of clomiphene tomorrow, im not sure what to expect or if I should expect anything. We all know how hard it is to get our hopes up just to be let down every month so even though the subject is constantly on my mind I keep telling myself to take things 1 day at a time. We live in Taranaki and im yet to find a support group here, so for now this website will be where I look for others going through the same or similar situations, it would be great to find people to talk to that really KNOW how I feel even under such negative circumstances its always nice to know youre not the only one going through this. I would like to hear others stories and am happy to support anyone in any way I can.

Hi ...
I have just come across your story in the forum. I am not sure but has no one responded to you? I understand where you are because I have been there myself and I found it really hard to find the kind of support I needed which was pretty much to share with others with same experiences ... if you are still around as this looks like you wrote it a few months back ... let me know ... maybe I can be some support.

Hi there, I hope things have been going okay with the clomiphene. Are you still interested in finding a support group in Taranaki? Nicola (FNZ)

Re: This is the start to our journey.....
I'm 38. I have a 17yr old daughter from my previous marriage. My husband and I will also start our IVF in May which is next month. We've been trying for 4yrs. I went through surgery for endo. Been on clomiphene for 2 months and unsuccessful. Received a letter last Sep that we were assigned Sep 13 for our IVF treatment. Received another letter in Oct to say there was a cancellation so they have moved us forward to May 13 which made us very happy. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I know it's gonna be an emotional roller coaster and a long process but hopefully the end result will be awesome.
