Creating whānau through embryo donation
Embryo donation has been described as 'adoption with benefits' as the prospective mother can experience a biological link through pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding. The embryos used are those held in storage by prospective donors who have completed their own whānau.
During our webinar held on 18 August 2020, Fiona McDonald gave an overview of the process and ethics (ECART) requirements and then embryo donors and recipients shared their stories.
The recording below is relevant to people who are considering creating whānau through embryo donation; and people who are considering donating their embryo(s).
