Seeking donor conceived adults for study

June 14, 2021

If you are a donor-conceived adult aged 18 years and over, were conceived in Aotearoa/New Zealand, and you are interested in sharing your thoughts and experiences, then you are invited to participate in this research!

This involves taking part in an interview at a time and place convenient to you. The interview can be either face-to-face (if it’s in the Auckland area) or via media (such as zoom or skype) or telephone. The interview is expected to take approximately an hour and a half of your time.

The aim is to explore your experiences of being donor-conceived, including your experiences of disclosure, family, the role of the donor and the support available/received.

The study is conducted by Samantha Best, Master of Health Science Psychology student, and supervised by Dr. Sonja Goedeke, Auckland University of Technology.

Family members, friends and students of Sam or Sonja will not be able to participate in the research.
