Are you okay?

April 22, 2022

There is a strong connection between infertility, depression and anxiety, and it's okay to ask for help!
After trying for a prolonged period, not getting pregnant can be profoundly disappointing and frustrating. Infertility investigation and treatment can be a long journey, and women and men are often hungry for information and emotional support.
It is complex and often not easily understood by others, even when they have the best intentions to be supportive. It can put pressure on relationships with family and friends, create misunderstandings, and cause isolation. While doctors have long understood that infertility is a medical problem, shame and secrecy remain prevalent among people with infertility.

We understand that asking for help can be challenging. Research shows in-person support has significant emotional and physiological benefits, and members often tell us they wish they had come along sooner. You are not alone; click here to find a support group near you! We are here for you.
